Life Purpose in this context is about living in alignment with your soul, and recognizing that fulfilling your purpose can come in many forms and pathways.

5 Epic Questions That Point to Your Life Purpose

Before we get into how to uncover your life purpose, let me point out that your purpose might not be work related. That’s up to you!

I have heard many times from people at the end of their life, that their greatest love was not in what they did for a living, but in activities that brought them happiness in a very specific way, particularly by being engaged in the opportunities that allowed them to express their true spirit.

I encourage everyone to take time to write down a few sentences in response to the following epic questions. Take time to come back to your answers in a few days and reflect on the importance of your answers. I also encourage you to reply to each question from your highest intuition.

1- What does a great life feel like, exactly?

When you think about your definition of success, how does it satisfy you on an emotional level? Meaning, what is the feeling of success?

Write down a few sentences about what your ideal life feels like to you, is it peaceful, adventurous, connected, imaginative? Extra Tip: Think back on two to three jobs you have had in the past, and describe in a few words what made each experience great, and what made them not great.

For example, I need to have people around me that are positive and enjoy working together, I need creative freedom, and healthy surroundings.

2- "Be the change you want to see in the world”

If you had a year to carry out an amazing act of altruism, (selflessness) giving your time, talents, money or knowledge. What would do? Who would you help?

Career path: Think about how you could solve a problem related to your professional field. What would you selflessly offer others?

3-Look back Over your life so far,

what have you yearned for, searched for, what have you hoped to do all these years? What have you been wanting to experience, deep down? Where have you fallen short in power and determination?

Alternative: Is there something you didn’t get as a child that you are still reaching for now?

4. Material wealth is important but not at the cost of your soul.

What does having money allow you to do in your life? Outside of basic living and paying for bills, what experiences do you typically spend your money on? Make a short list of what you like to spend money your money on and why... how does it feel, what does it deliver on a personal level?

And now try to imagine, if you had more money than you needed, much more... how would your interests be expressed then? Is there a bigger version of your passion?

For example, do you go to the gym to feel energetic and healthy. If you had unlimited funds, would you go mountain climbing or bike across France? List two things that you do with your money that are typical for you, and why that matters to you.

5. Having one spiritual aim-

Raises the vibration of every day life.

I believe your soul has a karmic desire to experience and reunite with spiritual qualities. Those qualities are recognized by your heart and soul, you are drawn to it, want to surround yourself in it, drink it in. It is the grail and the light within.

A few examples of spiritual aims: To do no harm. To be in harmony with the world and God. To experience love and acceptance. To feel worthy and empowered. To own your creative power and make things happen. To be a protector of animals and nature. To care for those who need help. To bring more joy into the world. To be fully present. To choose a life of beauty, artistry, invention. To experience grace and blessings.

Really, the possibilities are endless, but will be very unique for you and your life experience!

Start by writing down a single spiritual quality that your soul craves, and think about ways you can deepen that over a lifetime, one day at a time.

Once you have written down your unique answers to these 5 questions, take a little time to reflect.

How can you experience those essential qualities that you yearn for? What path accommodates your wishes?

In what ways do you experience your purpose appearing in your life now?

Do you recognize how this purpose has showed up in the past?

One of the tell-tale signs of purpose is that is will follow you around till the end of your days. You can choose to ignore it, but it will not go away.

Better to take matters into your own hands, and start living with passion and self-determination today.

Otherwise, you will look back in 10 years and say, Oh, crap! I should have listened to my intuition long before now.

As a final exercise, write down your intuition on the following

:

If you had all the resources you needed, unlimited money and support, and the best luck ever... what would you create with your life? What would you start today and create over the next 5 years.

Let’s already assume all of the basics are taken care of : home, loved ones, security. And let’s just suspend our doubts for this exercise.

Now use your imagination and describe your life miraculously unfolding over the next 5 years.

Describe going from success to success, growing and getting more amazing with each year.

Imagine how your purpose is weaving through each day, deepening and guiding you to new experiences.

Write for 5-10 minutes without pausing in your journal.

Then read back what you wrote.

Do your responses from the 5 epic questions harmonize with your 5 year creative vision? Do you recognize yourself in this unique life story?

Think of one thing you can DO this week that is in alignment with your true purpose, path and power.
